Tisbury Climate Committee directed a $50,000 MVP 2.0 grant toward emergency response planning. Chair Melinda Loberg led the nine-member committee in a unanimous vote to allocate $15,000 to a regional emergency preparedness network and $35,000 to develop Tisbury's emergency shelter plan, including staffing and operational procedures. The action followed an April 30 Martha's Vineyard Commission presentation on a regional emergency response model.
The committee also heard that Senior Center solar installation is complete, deferred Emergency Services Facility planning until after Town Meeting, and approved prior meeting minutes by a 7-0 vote with 2 abstentions.
