Tisbury Conservation Commission unanimously approved a foundation stabilization project and emergency temporary diesel tank. The commission granted a Notice of Intent for 21 Old Oklahoma Road, allowing owner Thomas Deutsch to shore an existing dwelling and install a new full foundation, with construction expected to begin in the fall under a set of four conditions including preservation of mature plantings within 10 feet and submission of an as-built plan. The commission also unanimously approved an emergency certification for a temporary above-ground diesel tank at 86 Beach Road following the failure of the underground double-walled tank; the temporary system holds approximately 2,000 gallons less capacity and will require state and local permits.
The commission confirmed John Best as its representative to the Community Preservation Committee.
