TISBURY — Commission approves house renovation; conditions four pest applications. The Tisbury Conservation Commission unanimously approved a house renovation and pool project at 338 Bigelow Road for property owner David Sunding, with the addition elevated to approximately 14.5 feet and a 3-foot retaining wall for pool and spa. The commission also unanimously approved pest control applications from four Hvoslef Way properties (64, 78, 84, 92) to treat with Cedarcide PCO cedar oil-based tick deterrent, conditioned on filing a Notice of Intent before spraying.

Applicant John Maher of Integrated Pest Management noted application protocols: spraying between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., avoiding flower and vegetable gardens, no application before rain. The commission flagged water contamination concerns and signaled the need for formal pesticide regulations near wetlands.
