Tisbury Finance Committee backed a two-site Town Hall renovation plan spanning the Katharine Cornell Theatre and a new West Williams Street building. The Committee preferred the bifurcated approach, which would preserve the theatre as cultural center while relocating offices to new modular construction over a 50-year horizon. ICON Architects presented five options ranging from deferred maintenance to full renovation.
Further design work would cost the town $5,000 to $10,000 from an existing $600,000 article. The Committee also received a report from Unibank consultant Lynn Welsh on a $6.75 million bond sale attracting 9 bids, enabling the town to achieve a Standard and Poor's AA+ rating.
