Tisbury Finance Committee recommended approval of 17 Fiscal Year 2027 department budgets. The Finance and Advisory Committee voted 6-0-1 to clear the way for town meeting, though members flagged a $2.4 million funding shortfall on general budget increases averaging roughly 9 percent. The committee heard presentations on the Shellfish Department's 35 percent budget increase driven primarily by salaries, including a new full-time Deputy Constable position, and the Accountant Department's 5 percent increase.

Rick Homans, chair of the Town Hall Building Committee, outlined four alternatives for consolidating town offices, with the committee proposing a $56,000 contract extension for ICON Architecture to study options after the original $32 million facility estimate proved unaffordable.
