Tisbury Climate Committee · Meeting of June 8, 2026

Tisbury Climate Committee appointed Daniel Phelan and Diane Conroy-Lacivita to external advisory boards while discussing $374,000 in Vineyard Power resilience funding available for town projects. Richard Andre of Vineyard Power discussed the Resiliency and Affordability Program, which provides $7.5 million to Martha's Vineyard towns over 15 years; Tisbury has already received $236,000 for solar and battery storage at the Senior Center. The committee learned the federal BRIC grant was rejected because no project was ready, but state officials scheduled a meeting to discuss flood resilience planning for the Five Corners area, including utilities relocation and sewer improvements.

Solar installations at the Senior Center and school are underway, and the library project is nearing completion.
